About the Event
The Amplified Sound Coalition, Austin Texas Musicians, and SIMS Foundation Present:
The Load Out: An Evening of Stories About Coping With An Unknown Future
Fresh off the heels of Monday’s “Come And Save It” rally, in which Austin Texas Musicians and The
Amplified Sound Coalition kept the pressure on City Hall to be quick and transparent in their SAVES
Resolution funds, the two groups, in partnership with SIMS Foundation, are announcing a limited-capacity
rally at Hotel Vegas focusing on the mental healthcare of the events industry in Austin.
Anyone in the industry, including musicians, venue staff, and festival workers (including third party
industries), is invited to apply to tell their personal story in five minutes or less. Submissions can be sent

Hotel Vegas, who will be hosting the event, has restricted capacity of their outdoor area to 100 people.
The seated event, requiring masks, will be first-come, first-serve, with a suggested donation to the SIMS
Foundation at the door.
The SIMS Foundation, Austin’s mental health group that focuses on event workers and musicians, has not
received any funding from the city or state since the beginning of the pandemic. They are a critical asset
to Austin’s creative community, even more so needed with the uncertainty of the industry’s future
hanging in limbo.
Jeannette Gregor, founder of The Amplified Sound Coalition, will host the event. Guest speakers will
include members from SIMS, Austin Texas Musicians, and many from the events community.
