Come And Save It! 3rd Rally at City Hall
It has been EIGHT MONTHS since Austin’s venues closed their gates for the safety of our community, and we’ve seen many shutter permanently as a result. The problem and urgency have been recognized by city council, however action to save our venues from permanent closure STILL HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN.

City Hall, 301 W 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701, USA
About the Event
We are STILL asking for our city to support our music venues.
In a recent memo, it was implied that the application process for SAVES Resolution money will not begin until 2021 and venues won’t see any disaster relief until well after the new year. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
Our community deserves action to ensure we’ll have jobs to return to. Delaying disaster relief to Austin’s music venues any longer will result in more closures of the businesses and jobs that make our city the “Live Music Capital of the World”.
Join us, this Thursday, November 19th at City Hall, along with our partners at @atxmusicians , as we demand allocation of funds already set aside for our venues and our jobs. Starting at 11am guest speakers will include:
Pat Buchta, Executive Director, Austin Texas Musicians
Jeannette Gregor, Amplified Sound Coalition
Sonya Jevette, Secretary, Austin Texas Musicians
Ismael Quintanilla III - Music Photographer
Nakia Reynoso, President, Austin Texas Musicians
Kevin Russell, Musician/ATXM Musicians Advisory Panel
Scott Strickland, Musician/ATXM Musicians Advisory Panel
Whether you feel comfortable attending or not, we urge you to email city council and demand funds be released NOW to venues. You can do that here: https://www.austintexas.gov/email/all-council-members
